I work as the head of neurology and professor of neurology at Joensuu where I also work as a general neurologist at North Karelia Central Hospital. I have mainly studied the epidemiology and phenomenology of neurological disorders in Finland, most often concerning movement disorders, stroke and Multiple Sclerosis. Currently main goals are increasing our knowledge of the epidemiology of neurodegenerative disorders to further uncower their etiologies as well as improving the diagnostics and care of neurological disorders.
