The University of Eastern Finland (UEF) is the most multidisciplinary university in Finland. We are home to some 17,000 students who study a variety of disciplines ranging from biology to business studies, from education to environmental sciences and from theology to toxicology on our campuses in Joensuu and Kuopio.
For international students, we offer Bachelor’s degree programmes and several Master’s degree programmes taught in English, as well as non-degree programmes that cater, in particular, to the needs of exchange students. Many of our Master’s degree students stay on board at UEF to continue their studies in our doctoral programmes.
Sex and gender
UEF Insight is the University of Eastern Finland’s online magazine dedicated to exploring current issues and emerging phenomena. Our latest issue examines sexuality, sex and gender from a variety of perspectives, including health, reproductive biology and human interaction.
