The doctoral dissertation in the field of Physical Geography will be examined at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies at Joensuu campus. The public examination will be streamed online.

Andrew Agbaje was recognised with the New Investigator Award in Childhood Obesity by the European Association for the Study of Obesity, EASO, and the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

Focusing on wood construction and the use of wood, this year’s Karelia Symposium, under the theme ‘Wood on my Mind’, will be held on the Kuopio Campus of the University of Eastern Finland on 9 April 2024.
