The University of Eastern Finland educates high-level researchers and experts across all its scientific disciplines. The university offers advanced scientific education through seven doctoral programmes and Researcher Training Services.
The doctoral study right is always applied from the doctoral programme. At the University of Eastern Finland, the doctoral programmes are responsible for organising studies and supervision within their respective scientific and research fields. Each doctoral programme has a director, a board, and a coordinator. Application details and contact information can be found on the doctoral programmes's websites.
Researcher Training Services develops doctoral education and organises researcher's transferable skills studies which are common to all doctoral programmes. The Researcher Training Services is led by the Vice Rector for Research, Jussi Pihlajamäki.
