Prof. Maria Lähteenmäki from the Karelian Institute has been offered membership in the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. New members were selected in a meeting held on 21.5.2021 in Salzburg.
The Academy is a multinational think thank and a discussion forum for social and scientific themes. Its priority is to support European integration and cooperation. Each year the Academy organizes about 40 international seminars and distributes awards.
