The course outlines the religious landscape of Finland beyond Christianity. It discusses different non-Christian religions, new spiritualities as well as non-religion. The focus is on late-twentieth century and contemporary society.
Liturgical chant traditions of different Orthodox and Oriental Churches (Coptic, Ethiopian, Middle Eastern, Armenian, Georgian, Russian Old Rite, Carpatho-Ruthenian), their history and contemporary practices. Creating a blog page and communicating in blog environment.
Mode of study 1: Lectures 18 h., learning assignments; independent work 117 h
Mode of study 2: Online course in the eLearn Moodle environment; independent work 135 h.
Evaluation criteria: Learning assignments, 0–5
2–8 hours of lectures may be substituted with thematically appropriate visiting lectures, based on pre-agreement with the teacher.

The fee for individual courses is €20 per ECTS credit. These prices are valid for the academic year 2025–2026.
Registration for courses starting in the autumn semester begins on 8 August 2025 at 9:00 AM. After this date, registration remains open until 16 June 2026.
