Course content:

  • formal and informal communication in a work life context
  • Finnish work life practices
  • work life vocabulary
  • work life texts
  • telling about one's own work life competence

Learning outcomes:

Student

  • is able to act in the most common communication situations in working life
  • is able to write some texts related with work life
  • understands and can use work life vocabulary related with their own career
  • can give a brief description of their work life competence

Before attending this course, the student should have completed the course Finnish 2B or have corresponding knowledge and skills (CEFR level A2.2).

Note: The course is full, registration is now closed.

Study methods Lectures, spoken and written pair and group exercises, independent study. The successful completion of the course and participating in a possible exam requires active participation and the completion of course assignments within the specified schedule.

Schedule: October 27-December 3. Online lessons on Mondays and Wednesdays at 12-14.

Please note that this course requires some previous studies in Finnish language (the course Finnish 2B or similar course). Before registering, you can take a course placement test to evaluate if this course is suitable for you.

The course fee is 20 euros per ECTS credit point. The prices are valid for the 2025-2026 academic year.
