You are warmly invited to the launch of the Doctoral Programme for Advancing Forest‑Based Bioeconomy (DP‑FOBI) on Friday, 22 May, from 12:00 to 13:30, at the Carelia building, room C2, University of Eastern Finland. It is also possible to join the event remotely.

DP‑FOBI is a Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Actions (MSCA) funded doctoral programme that will recruit 15 doctoral candidates. The programme offers structured doctoral training in an international, interdisciplinary, and intersectoral research environment, supporting early‑stage researchers in developing the skills, knowledge, and perspectives needed to contribute to sustainable innovation in the forest‑based bioeconomy.

The launch event will introduce the DP‑FOBI programme, including its recruitment process, research themes, training framework, and opportunities for collaboration. We will also have a guest speaker, Saara Suurla form SpringDNA, who will talk about moving from research to action. The event is open to supervisors, partners, stakeholders, prospective doctoral applicants, and everyone interested.

We warmly welcome you to join us and be part of shaping the next generation of forest‑based bioeconomy experts!

Kindly register by 17 May so we can arrange catering and send you the Teams link if you are joining remotely. Light refreshments will be served.
