The event is the first press briefing of the new ESF+ CUDIS project. The briefing is open to all via a registration form where the participants can choose to either participate online or on campus. Online participants will receive the attendance link in the confirmation email. The participants must sign up for the event by 5 September 2023. The event discusses important project details such as the goals of the project, upcoming events, and opportunities for participation. The event will be held in Finnish but the text materials (slideshow) are also available in English. Also, using English is possible during questions, comments and discussions.
The CUDIS project develops important working life skills of North Karelia which are connected to working in multicultural and multilingual, and digitalising work environments. The project combines the cultural and lingual strengths of humanities and the technological skills of computer science.
CUDIS addresses questions such as: How can North Karelian enterprises strengthen their competitive ability by improving their cultural and technological skills? How can technology assist in work tasks such as international recruiting? How can humanities and computing experts improve their career prospects? How will skill needs change in the future?
The event is hosted by the Cultural Knowledge and Digital Skills in Globalising Working Life (CUDIS) project (ESF+).
