Eight new members were elected to the Finnish Society of Sciences and Letters.

The awards ceremony was held on 17 December 2025 at the Kuopio Campus.

The exceptional donation from the estate of Martti Miettinen, a farmer from Lapinlahti, supports doctoral researchers at the Kuopio campus.

MSc Jie Guo's doctoral research focuses on the valorization of agricultural waste, specifically citrus fruit peels, and berry pomaces.
