Success in the 2024 Global Mobility call enables new openings with a total of 14 new partners.
The University of Eastern Finland has been granted more than 590,000 euros in funding from the Erasmus + programme’s Global Mobility in its 2024 call. The funding will allow for student and staff mobility with UEF and 22 countries outside the EU, between 2024 and 2027. The funding granted is the largest ever amount UEF has received since 2015.
The funding is allocated to mobility between UEF and its long-term partner universities in Georgia, Morocco, South Africa, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan and Chile. In the 2024 call, new openings for mobility have been funded with partners in the Bosnia & Herzegovina, Ukraine, Jordan, Lebanon, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and the USA.
The funding granted will enable increased student and staff mobility in line with the strategy of the University of Eastern Finland. Student learning, research development and staff development benefits from mobility for instance through enhanced learning and personal growth, broadening global perspectives and knowledge, not to mention enhancing social inclusion and diversity in higher education and research.
