It funds short research visits and promotes education-related collaboration at the Master and PhD levels. NMR oversees the Nordic Journal of Migration Research (NJMR) [linkki o journal] that publishes peer-reviewed open-access articles. Every other year NMR holds the Nordic Migration Research Conference in cooperation with a local host. The 2021 conference was organized at the University of Helsinki.
