The Academy of Finland has granted Professor of Environmental Policy Rauno Sairinen 294,759 euros of funding from the Academy Programme Critical Materials in Circular Economy of Cities. Sairinen is a member of the GoverMat consortium led by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. The Multi-level Governance of Critical Materials for Future Electric Mobility project is led by Marja Huttunen-Saarivirta. The funding decisions were announced on 3 November.
The Academy of Finland announced funding for six research consortia (in all 17 sub-projects) and two individual projects under the Academy Programme Critical Materials in Circular Economy of Cities (Romulus). The Academy allocated a total of seven million euros to the consortia for the period 2022–2025. The projects will launch in January 2022.
