We warmly welcome academic and industry stakeholders to the launch of SYLI – Living Biobank – Cancer Laboratory on 9 December 2025. The event will be held as a hybrid event, in collaboration with the projects UEF clinical RDI-ecosystem (UEF-TKI) and Clinical RDI-ecosystem of North Savo wellbeing services county (PSHVA-TKI, in Finnish). Registration is required. Please register to the event through this link by 5 December. The Workshop can also be attended either virtually or on-site. Instructions how to come to the Cell and Tissue Imaging Unit will be sent to registered.
SYLI project is creating a new RDI infrastructure and service model in Kuopio to accelerate translational cancer research and support industry-driven innovation.
The project brings together biobank samples, high-content imaging, single-cell technologies, and bioinformatics under one integrated service concept.
Program
12:00–13:00 Open House at the Cell and Tissue Imaging Unit: visit the state-of- the-art imaging lab and learn how it supports translational cancer research.
13:00–14:10 Webinar (in Finnish) by the UEF/PSHVA Clinical RDI-Ecosystem Project. The webinar will present regional research and innovation collaboration, and key clinical RDI environments that support both research and industry needs. Room SN205 and on-line.
14:10–14:30 Break, Coffee, Networking
14:30–15:25 Workshop for Companies and Collaborators: Introduction to SYLI – Living Biobank – Cancer laboratory project. Discuss on future service concepts and partnership opportunities within the SYLI framework.
