The purpose of MA Tuomas Kervinen's doctoral dissertation is to develop a framework of reading and interpretation based on René Girard’s mimetic theory.

Several projects are underway at the University of Eastern Finland that seek to help embrace a gentler and more accepting approach to food and eating in food education.

Coordinated by the University of Eastern Finland, the interdisciplinary and international PEICAS project is currently examining how children with autism spectrum disorder interact with others in inclusive classrooms.

There has been a coronavirus exposure at Tulliportti Teacher Training School, more specifically at Länsikatu school. The low-risk exposure took place during class time on Tuesday, 16 March.

The University of Eastern Finland presented Eveliina Ojala, Doctor of Theology, Maryam Samavaki, PhD, Timo Pekkala, MD, and Pasi Hirvonen, Doctor of Social Sciences, with the Young Researcher Award 2020.
