The number of degrees awarded by the University of Eastern Finland in 2024 reached an all-time high across all levels of education, with the university awarding 1,531 Bachelor’s degrees, 1,882 Master’s degrees and 180 doctoral degrees.

Funded by the Finnish Work Environment Fund, a multidisciplinary study launched in the North Savo Wellbeing Services County seeks to develop a model to support the recruitment and retention of employees with immigrant backgrounds.

The funding intends for the creation of clearly defined and tested business ideas that has business potential.

UEF attracted a total of 6,279 applicants.

The university will no longer use its main official account, @UniEastFinland, to post content or be otherwise active on X.

The strategic partnership agreement is aimed at promoting internationalisation and university-business collaboration, as well as developing joint advocacy and increasing regional appeal.

The report focuses on the period 2022–2024, and also describes the objectives for global development for 2025 and forward.

The donation supports AI research at the University of Eastern Finland and other Finnish universities.

The UniPID network gathers the university community from all over Finland to discuss and plan joint objectives to advance global responsibility, cooperation with the Global South, and sustainable development.
