The composition of wood chemicals is very complex, which complicates their extraction and further application.

Starting from 2023, UEF will be offering two degree programmes in the field of technology: one in technical physics and the other in sustainable materials and products.

FM Paavo Auvine's results deepen our understanding of sulfur poisoning and facilitate the development of new and more robust catalytic converters for engines operating on natural gas.

MSc Peter Zorve advanced the atomic level understanding of the ZN catalyst, which is the starting point for optimization of the catalytic process and rational tailoring of the polymeric materials.
