A new study examined the funeral will and wishes of people who had received a palliative care decision, as well as the views of their family carers.

In Finland, the greatest change in the history of state-church relations since the country’s independence in 1917 took place in 1990s, according to a new monograph by Matti Kotiranta, Professor of Church History.

The University of Eastern Finland presented Eveliina Ojala, Doctor of Theology, Maryam Samavaki, PhD, Timo Pekkala, MD, and Pasi Hirvonen, Doctor of Social Sciences, with the Young Researcher Award 2020.

The University of Eastern Finland’s Communicator of the Year Awards were announced in an award ceremony today. The selections were made by the university’s Communications and Media Relations.
